    Short description of the project:
    The aim of the project is to develop a device detecting trace amounts of explosives, which compared to the currently used applications will revolutionize and dramatically improve the process of measuring the presence of these materials. It will directly contribute to increase safety of airport passenger traffic, mass event control, etc.

    Short description of the project:
    The aim of the project is to disseminate the results of scientific research conducted by WSB Academy, partner universities from Poland and abroad, and other leading scientific units, as well as conclusions and recommendations from these studies, which are important for sustainable development, implementation of a low-emission economy and the reduction of air pollution from industrial and transport sources, and above all from home boiler houses in Cieszyn Silesia.

    Thanks to the promotion of good practices and the best solutions in the implementation of technological solutions and positive patterns of social behavior, aimed at sustainable and responsible development of this area, reduction of pollutant emissions, the approach to this problem will gradually change by various stakeholder groups on the Polish, Czech and Slovak side of the border, which will result in a change of attitudes and reduction of pollution.

    The project will include:

    • International conference presenting the results of research on sustainable development, low-carbon economy
      and renewable energy sources with their implications for the socio-economic environment in the region;
    • thematic workshops on the use of solar and wind energy, the use of hydrogen technologies
      in public transportation or how to improve energy efficiency by changing user behavior and better management of energy consumption,
    • study visit in the municipality of Niepołomice, a leader in the implementation of low-carbon economy.

    Short description of the project:
    The aim of the Cross-Border Summer School is an international exchange of scientific ideas and related practical experiences with the management of cultural institutions. An important goal is to present innovative management solutions in culture, as well as the dissemination of the latest research results, among others in the scientific journal „Cultural Management: Science and Education”.

    The cross-border Summer School, which is a unique forum for the exchange of knowledge, is addressed to representatives of both the scientific and business environment: research and teaching staff, culture managers, people employed in cultural institutions, culture animators, impresarios, artists disseminating their creativity on their own, as well as students, PhD students, ensuring universal access to modern concepts of cultural management.

    Short description of the project:
    The aim of the project is to show the usefulness of academic knowledge in the everyday life of children, adolescents, adults, seniors and to present it in an accessible way, understandable for every age group.

    The project will include the following classes:

    • IT (from the simplest knowledge concerning the basics of using a computer to secret knowledge in the field of programming);
    • project management (how to use management methods in everyday life and how to obtain funds, e.g. for the activities of local associations or development of your own business),
    • security (from safety in emergency situations, as medical safety, car driving, to cybersecurity),
    • physiotherapy (taking care of your health, physical condition, quick reaction in situations of health problems).
       

    PROJECT TITLE: „AGAINST THE RECORD – PEOPLE 50+ AND SENIORS ON THE LABOR MARKET”

    Short description of the project:
    The aim of the project is to strengthen the accessibility on the labor market for people in pre-retirement age and already retired. As part of the project are planned:

    • a website for seniors looking for a job or volunteering, enabling an overview of specific offers,
    • Academy experts will also prepare a guide for seniors, indicating how to look for a job, where to find it and what legal conditions accompany the employment of people aged 50+, and a guide for companies, showing how to effectively use the potential of older workers, stimulating both employers and employees to act,
    • a map of seniors’ personal development will also be developed, with a list of courses, trainings, volunteering, initiatives for seniors,
    • a conference titled “Senior at work. The power of the silver generation „, promoting the idea of ​​working in retirement, with the participation of employers, labor offices, experts from the National Labor Inspectorate and the Social Insurance Institution,
    • thematic workshops (raising qualifications, developing passions and interests) will be carried out, allowing you to get employment in new, interesting professions, such as leisure time animator, music presenter, new media journalist, photographer and film maker,
    • individual consultations conducted by qualified career counselors of the Academic Career Office, combined with the preparation of application documents and searching for a job/ volunteering for seniors,
    • In the end of the project there will be the Senior Job Fair with the gala „Senior-Friendly Employer”, during which the latest offers of companies for the elderly will be presented and diplomas will be presented to the winners of the „Senior-friendly employer” competition, facilitating employment for older people.

    Short description of the project:

    The aim of the project is to measurably improve the quality of scientific research and the resulting works, among others publications and their internationalization and interdisciplinarity, as well as their impact on the socio-economic development of regions. Especially:

    • a significant improvement in the quality of research in the field of economic sciences and the resulting works of, among others publications by increasing the competences of research and development employees of the WSB Academy;
    • internationalization in the field of scientific and research activity; increasing the importance of scientific research conducted at the WSB Academy in the field of management sciences and development works in the international scientific environment;
    • increasing the impact of scientific research and development works carried out at the WSB Academy in the field of management sciences on the functioning of the socio-economic environment in the regions.
