International co-operation The Academy co-operates with scientific centres and economic institutions abroad, for example:
The signed agreements guarantee common scientific projects and research, utilizing achievements and experience of all signatories. We take part in the European TEMPUS, PHARE and SOCRATES programmes which let us exchange students, staff and researches. To enable comparisons of our students' results obtained during their studies with their colleagues in other countries; the ECTS (European System of Score Transfer) has been introduced at the Academy of Business. As an initiator and co-organiser of the international competition "Europe Without Borders" we are familiarizing youngsters with the problems of European integration. In the Academy of Business in Dabrowa Gornicza there is situated Information Centre about European Union.
Management and Entrepreneurship in the E.U. programme The main objective of this curriculum is to offer a master’s level educational programme that supports and enables managers and entrepreneurs, any business professional or SME to become more competent in the EU market place. This means that they are being prepared to play a full and active role within the knowledge society and that they have the knowledge, skills and competencies to participate fully in European co-operation among others within the initiatives set up by the Commission of the European Union.
International certificates - foreign languages and IT The Academy of Business issues international certificates in foreign languages and information technology. The Academy enables the students studying the most popular foreign languages - English, German, Italian, Spanish and many others. Our best teachers, including native speakers, ensure professional and highly effective teaching. The Academy is an Examination Centre of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and The European Language Certificates - TELC, therefore students can take LCCI and ICC/TELC exams in Business general English. The obtained qualifications and certificates are treated as passports enabling the students to receive employment in renowned international companies because these certificates are respected all over the world. The Academy of Business in Dabrowa Gornicza is the MICROSOFT Authorised Academic Training Centre and issues the MICROSOFT MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certificates. During the training period students familiarise themselves with the Microsoft Back Office products or the architecture of Windows environment and programming tools. The classes are conducted by teachers certified by Microsoft and who use Microsoft Press publications & Microsoft Official Curriculum. Another prestigious certificate issued by the Academy is the European Computer Driving Licence. It certifies the ability of using microcomputers and their effective application in everyday work. According to the European standards the ECDL certificates are respected all over Europe as the criterion of checking and evaluating the computer knowledge.
